Very good food! And they have a couple of vegan options -- we were very pleasantly surprised.
We come out to Shoshone to purchase lotto tickets. Usually, we eat at the Crow Bar. I love the laid back atmosphere, the wait staff is very attentive, and the food always arrives hot and tasty.Note: the fries are excellent and our group of diners loves the homemade tortilla chips with cactus salsa.
Pricey but good food, especially their fish tacos
It's as good as it gets when you are in the desert. Great service and in great shape considering the rural nature, has a lot of charm, well kept and I hear the food is great. We snagged some local suds.
Nice pit stop on the way to death valley
From the moment you arrive in that restaurant they give you an excellent feeling. Very warm waiters, it is a kind place to hang out with your friends or with your date. very good cooking, qualified chef de cuisine, good cost and nice service. Highly recommended.
The Crowbar is the only eatery in Shonshone and really is worth stopping in! Breakfasts hearty with traditional American food and lunch is perfect after a morning of birding or hiking, with many sandwich choices including veggie burgers! They serve a great trout dish and even fish tacos if the chef is in a good mood! You will be happy with the great selection of food considering its remote location!
We enjoy eating out. Last night we came to this excellent restaurant which friends recommended to us. We spent a lovely evening there with first-rate food and a professional stuff and a professional chef. We added this restaurant in our list and we shall surely visit again very soon. We warmly recommend.
$ Best BLT sandwich I have ever had. Old fashioned diner feel. Historic area. Great coffee. Comfort food at its best. Outdoor bathrooms. RV and kid friendly. We ate lunch here after we left the NP on our way to Baker 15.
We stopped in for dinner. We ordered fish tacos and the veggie plate. The portions were large, prices reasonable. Very friendly staff and great service. The fish in the tacos was a bit bland. The cactus salsa was fantastic! Highly recommend that.
Great food and service. Burger was great and fries were excellent. Service was quick and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. This is the place to eat if in tecopa or Shoshone
Great food and service in a really lovely location! A very welcomed break! 👍
After spending a week overlanding in death valley this place was a sight for sore and weary eyes. The food was amazing, the staff was some of the friendlies I've ever encountered and even spent a few minutes talking to the cook and getting some history of the place.I am just as eager to come back here and eat as I am to go back to death valley.
Been going there for years. But may not go back. 120 outside and they are making you sit outside. $10 for a beer is a bit steep
We were going to drive straight by on our way back to Vegas but I swung over and we had really good food .... I had the burger and fries ( the patty was spot on ) my wife the Mesquite chicken Caesar salad. Both presented well and delicious. Our waitress was nice and looked after us well. It's really like stepping back in time and all the better for it, a taste of old Americana. No hesitation in recommending the Crowbar cafe & saloon
Its a good stop, food is good. Shoshone Museum right next door. Gas station across the street has some cool stuff but prices are high along with the gas.
Great Food and fun stop to end a long day of driving and sightseeing. "I will never eat another Hamburger without an avocado on it again.." says my wife who had the CLUB burger....I had the Mexican platter and it was awesome! Some great history to the Saloon too....service was on point! Great job we look forward to coming back!!
Great atmosphere and very friendly waitress. Everyone enjoyed their burgers after a long day walking and sight-seeing
Impressive selection of food. Burger was on the done side. Servings of fries is massive. A must do when visiting Shosone.
I'm always a bit nervous of places with a captive audience. The Crowbar is the last place to eat for some 80 miles across Death Valley, so it doesn't need to be good to get custom - yet it is! I kept it simple, just a cheeseburger and fries, but it was well executed, tasty, and served with a smile. Simple, classic diner food.
This place knows how to satisfy their customers. Consistently with a very welcoming approach. The food is affordably priced, always delicious and neat.
Surprisingly the best French onion soup I had. Very nice and relaxed staff, good food. "Museum" beside the restaurant. Cool place to unwind
Unique last stop before Death Valley, Shoshone has everything : motel, gas, museum, and... Crawbar, family old times ambiance, big smiles and fresh classic side road menu! Customers are from everywhere, resting in this mini-oasis in the middle of the beautiful desert...
Good reuben w kraut;freshly made ; yummy and satiating; fantastic location; a visually rich environment; desert, old, Shoshone history
Had a awesome experience in here with my wife. The food was served rapidly and the customer service is just good. Prices are reasonable.
Thisnis good place to stop and have a coffee. People work here are very helpful. Just opposite side of the road there is Gas station, last one before entering Death Valley.
We arrived at this restaurant for lunch. my friend recommended this spot. Well, we were not disappointed. the staff members were so friendly and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was yummy. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Recommended.
Great food served by friendly people with ice cold beer. What more could you ask for in the middle of the desert.
Man, we loved this place! The chips and salsa is amazing because they're flour tortilla chip, cooked after you order. The chili is great and there's something about the fries. They're great when they're hot, but still super when they've cooled down! This is our new "must stop" for Shoshone!
Good home style food.
Nice little restaurant with very nice people
Nice burgers with friendly service and authentic athmosphere.
Nice place and good service.
Vintage roadside diner/bar in the middle of nowhere between Death Valley and the Mojave National Preserve pleasantly surprised us with the quality of food. It's pretty basic stuff but was well prepared. We were especially impressed with the freshness of produce - no limp, dispirited iceberg lettuce here! Staff was attentive and atmosphere was charming, too.
I meet with friends this place often! This is my favorite place to grab a bite. I go to this spot regularly. The food is of high quality, the staff is friendly and the price is good. I enjoy being in this restaurant over a tasty lunch.
I celebrated my PhD today in this great place. Well it was a great evening and the restaurant was absolutely the reason for this successful evening. The waiters helped in a gorgeous style, the meals were very good and my friends were very glad. We shall no dout return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.
Historic building in Shoshone provides the only dining options in town. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Decent Mexican food. Cold beers.Class western saloon decor.
Very nice but very slow service.Good food. Decent prices.
Last week was the first time we visited this excellent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We had a good time with the courteous service, with the excellent meal and wine and with the comfortable payment. We will no doubt return there soon.
Location & beer was great. I sat @ a table on the porch & watched the amazing sunset. The food is not anything to write home about, however. I went across the street for my Ca. lottery tickets, then to the Crowbar to relax for a few. Love to hang @ the Crowbar & watch the mighty fine sunsets. Never a disappointment.
This restaurant just saved our life. On the way to LA from Vegas we travelled to Death Valley. We were looking for restaurant in the late afternoon and this came as a saver. Awesome food, amazing people serving there. Loads of history associated with this place. There is a museum to look out for. Definitely a vintage feeling. Worth stopping by.
Had lunch here after our hike. Very yummy! They were slammed with one server. She managed to hold it all together.
So happy we accidentally found this place! We finished a day of hiking in Death Valley and were super hungry. I’m pescatarian and didn’t have high hope for this desert oasis. To my surprise, the food was fantastic, the staff were friendly, and the prices were great!
Popped in for a bite and a beer after a bike ride through Death Valley. The food was fresh and the fries were seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. Beer was served in a big, chilled frosty mug. The service was great and I’m happy I stopped by.
Delightfully incredible visit. Wonderful food !
Be patient, relax. It's a small bar and grill with great food. The burgers my wife and I have are always grilled to perfection. The golden crispy fries..oy. The food really is worth the wait.
Very picturesque cafe! Great food and excellent service even late at night. Perfect after a long day exploring death valley. Very home like comfortable friendly ambiance.
If in the middle of nowhere I always find a juicy burger like this one I'd be happy. The staff is friendly. Great place to go with your family and friends
The food is excellent. The California omelette was divine. Staff was so friendly. We felt very welcomed there!
Interesting, old, în the middle of nowhere.
